We signed, shook hands and now we can start working.
We usually get through the kick-off phase in a few hours, days at the most.
What you can expect
In this phase, we work together to establish and set up
- tools for collaborative communication (usually Slack)
- how often we meet
- reporting system
- and most importantly, a product backlog that contains all development requirements (must-have and nice-to-have functionality and UI changes) that we jointly prioritize on a regular basis based on your business needs
In the meantime, we
- will assemble a team that will get familiar with the project (objectives, architecture, requirements)
- set standards for effective team management and collaboration (regular standups, workflow)
- set up a server for development and a repository
- create a roadmap with the first tasks for the team
- set up other internal tools (e.g. project folder on drive, time tracking tool, documentation)
Who is your project manager
At this stage, you discuss everything with your project manager, who manages the product development with you. He is your main point of contact. All of our project managers have a track record of successfully completed projects, most of which continue on after the MVP is delivered.Your project manager:
- They are your go-to partner for anything you might be doing with the project.
- They are experienced and have managed about 5-10 projects of various sizes and lengths.
- They talk to you so that you understand everything. No technical jargon.
Agile management
We have described for you what the first phase of work on a project that we manage using the agile method typically looks like. Agile projects make up 90% of the projects we work on and are our preference for the following reasons.Benefits of agile development
-
- Our clients are happier because
- you are regularly involved in decisions about further product development;
- you have an overview of development, progress and costs;
- you control development volume and costs;
- you see the value created after each sprint.
- Our clients are happier because
-
- A higher quality and more efficiently developed product thanks to
- regular testing;
- iterations from which the team regularly learns and immediately implements new insights;
- open collaboration within the team, where everyone learns from each other.
- A higher quality and more efficiently developed product thanks to
- Faster project start
-
- because we don’t analyze the final solution, which takes months and costs tens of thousands.
- Faster product launch (time to market)
- If you are the first in your field, you benefit from having no competition.
- The project manager has more control over the project, thanks to
- greater transparency of the development and the team;
- implementation of feedback and regular quality control.
- More effective risk mitigation thanks to
- greater transparency, we can better anticipate risks and mitigate them more effectively;
- risks are generally lower due to short development periods.
- Greater flexibility and adaptability thanks to
- your regular feedback;
- short development periods.
